Bridging IncBridging is a fabulous local charity whose mission is to support families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. By providing beds, furniture and household goods to those in need, Bridging gives hope to the thousands of people who walk through its doors every year. Since 1987, Bridging has served 57,000 households in the Twin Cities! When the Vikings volunteer for charity, they go talk to kids in the hospital, but the North Star Roller Girls do actual toil: as the Bridging website volunteer page says: "Note: This is physical work in a warehouse setting." Which makes it clear that we are both tougher and prettier than football celebrities. Want to know more about Bridging, Inc., accepted furniture donations, or volunteering in their warehouses (like rollergirls do!), here's their website www.bridging.org. |
