North Star Roller Girls
North Star Roller Girls are a skater-owned and -operated roller derby league based in Minneapolis. Skaters play a version of the roller derby you may have seen on TV in the 80s, but on a flat track instead of a banked track. It’s a full contact athletic competition with rules and regulations.
NSRG’s main focus is athleticism and the empowerment of women both on and off the track. As a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), NSRG advocates for the growth of roller derby in Minnesota and throughout the world. NSRG skaters are also proud members of their community and partner with local artists, musicians, businesses and charities to enrich their home.
NSRG plays at the Lee & Rose Warner Coliseum. At the Coliseum, they’ve been able to enhance fans’ experience with videos, a beer garden, and special box seats.
North Star Roller Girls, a skater owned and operated league in Minneapolis, promotes athleticism through roller derby. We empower women by exhibiting a positive image both on the track and in the community.
